The flag hoisting was performed by Mr. Manjunath, Manager Security, followed by the cultural program in the MLR banquet hall. The program started with an introduction to the theme of this year’s Independence Day celebration, ‘Honour the Freedom, Inspire the Future.’ Students in grades 9 and 10 spoke about India’s struggle for freedom and the nation’s movement towards a Developed Bharat.
This was followed by a musical tribute from the senior school band, which presented a vibrant ensemble of patriotic songs. This multi-lingual medley blended cultural depth with poetic symbolism and carried the patriotic fervour through a message of passion, unity, and transformation. It was indeed a rousing celebration of music, marching in rhythm towards a New Bharat!
Next was a dance performance based on ‘Lagaan’ by the senior school dance group that enthralled the audience Our Principal, Mrs Reena Suresh, addressed the staff and students, encouraging them to remember that it is a day of great pride and patriotism, where citizens honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
