MAHADEVAPURA
Echoes of Tradition: The Brigade School Showcases Andhra & Telangana The Brigade School @ Mahadevapura lit up the stage with its Cultural Day celebrations for Grades 4–12 on 6 November 2025. The event saw an enthusiastic gathering of proud parents and academic leaders from The Brigade Foundation, all eager to witness an evening of culture, talent and youthful energy.
The evening opened with the school song, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome by the Principal, Ms Suresh. In her Annual Report, she applauded the students’ academic excellence, athletic accomplishments and their growing spirit of leadership. The Coordinator, Ms Thekkepat, concluded the formal segment with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
This year’s theme highlighted the vibrant art forms and colourful folk traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — two states bound by culture yet distinct in identity. The celebration kicked off with the school band electrifying the auditorium. Their blend of soulful notes and percussion bursts captured the musical pulse of both states.
The stage then transformed into a living tapestry of dance. Kuchipudi unfolded stories with grace, Kolattam echoed cheerful rhythm, Dhimsa radiated tribal vibrance and Bathukamma blossomed with floral festivity. Buttabommalu brought playful laughter with its masked revelry, while Pulivesham roared with fierce pride, thrilling the crowd.
Adding wit to the wonder, a lively skit narrated the clever escapades of Tenali Rama. Students brought the legendary jester’s humour to life, tickling the audience with his tricks and comic charm.
The showstopper was ‘The Evolution of Tollywood’ — a dazzling rewind through Telugu cinema. From the golden charm of NTR and ANR to the vibrant 90s and today’s blockbusters, students recreated decades of stardom with music, drama and unstoppable energy.
The evening concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the audience filled with appreciation for the colourful heritage of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
