Teachers are respected and honored for their contributions to shaping children. In India, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5th every year.

The students of The Brigade School @ Whitefield celebrated Teachers’ Day on Friday, September 2nd, 2022. It was a day of appreciation for the selfless dedication of their teachers.

A wide range of activities was planned for this occasion. It was a day filled with excitement as students eagerly looked forward to telling their teachers how and why they were special.

Shreya Shashi of grade 10 extended a warm welcome to all their mentors. Poorvi Reddy of grade 10 delivered an insightful speech on the importance of Teachers’ Day. She spoke about Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and highlighted his extraordinary commitment to education and students.

Next was a dance performance by Shashanka P of grade 9, a classical version of Shape of You, by Ed. Sheeran. Swayam Tayalia of grade 10 and Srishti Khandelwal of grade 9 entertained the teachers with the song “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars. The teachers were thrilled with the Flash Mob, performed by the 8th graders. It was an excellent performance that filled the air with energy.

Last but not least, the students of grade 10 gave colourful & memorable handouts to teachers.
