Mind Space Activity Day – Presentation on 21st-century skills
The Secondary Section of The Brigade School in Whitefield organised Mind Space Activity Day (MSA Day) on July 31, 2023.
The focus was on 21st Century Skills under the theme “Embracing Opportunities; Embracing Future.” Students from classes IX and X presented the main topic and debated whether academic excellence is the sole requirement for a successful career.
The program started with a well-defined PowerPoint presentation on 21st Century Skills. The presentation included engaging videos, puzzles, and clear narration by students.
After the presentation, a debate took place, moderated by Mr. Arjun Magesh, an alumnus of TBSW. The debate had two teams, each consisting of three participants. It was an intense and well-received debate among the students of classes 8 to 10. The audience which comprised of parents and teachers the teams for their debating skills and quick-thinking answers in the rebuttal round.
Students gave parents a thank-you card with a logo and a “droodle” (doodle-riddle) related to one of the 21st Century Skills. Parents appreciated the effort by the school and the students, and they explored the students’ artwork and droodles on display.
The symposium was a success, promoting children’s involvement, parents’ participation, innovative thinking, and helping students connect words and ideas.
