Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents’ Day is an event aimed at honouring and appreciating the invaluable contributions of grandparents to our lives. On the beautiful afternoon of July 17th, 2024, The Brigade School @ Whitefield organised Grandparents’ Day to create cherished memories. Many enthusiastic grandparents attended the event.
Colourful decorations adorned the venue, including messages from grandchildren to their grandparents, photographs of grandparents and grandchildren, and a photo booth to capture the memories of grandparents with their loved ones.
The event commenced with a welcome speech in English, Hindi, and Kannada by Siddharth Agrawal, Ravneet Kaur, Ishaan Maurya, and Aadi Manikantan, respectively. The students of UKG showcased magnificent musical and dance performances. The children rendered a beautiful Hindi song, “Dada Dadi” to express their love for their grandparents. Following this was a spectacular dance performance and a beautiful Kannada song sung by the students which added a special touch to the celebration. The entertainment segment of the event was a delight for everyone present.
A wonderful ramp walk by enthusiastic grandparents showcasing the Persian theme was worth watching. Grandparents proved that age is no barrier to having a good time. UKG students performed a Persian dance and enthralled the audience. They taught a few steps to their grandparents to the song “Tera mujse hai phele ka naata koi…” and their grandparents danced along with them.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks given in three languages by Anirudh Satish, Nivaan Tewari, and Bhaavin M Gowda of class UKG. A beautiful Genie Lamp (Pencil Stand) was gifted to the grandparents as a token of love.
Grandparents enjoyed the refreshments and snacks, fostering a sense of togetherness. The Grandparents’ Day event was an extraordinary success, fostering love, respect, and understanding between generations. It served as a reminder of the value grandparents bring to our lives.
