The main objective of organising Pet Day is to bring awareness and create a sense of responsibility in the minds of our little ones when it comes to caring for pets who do not have a voice of their own. Our tiny tots spent an afternoon with pets on the 20th of June, 2022.

Pet Day is a very colourful event celebrated by the pre-primary section. It teaches children the values of sympathy, empathy, and unconditional love towards all beings. It also upholds the importance of caring for animals and learning everything about them and their habitats. Children from LKG were thrilled to observe the animals and their behaviour.

Teachers enriched their knowledge by telling them interesting facts about pet animals. They provided information about the food they ate and the care to be given at home.

Animals on display comprised a variety of fish, birds, a cow, and a calf, a goat, a few chicks, some rabbits, hamsters, Birds like finches, java finches, love birds, African love birds, pigeons, and cockatiels entertained the students that day. To add to the fun, we also had a pug visiting our children. All the animals were brilliantly displayed. Children had fun and frolic in the name of Pet Day.

It was a wonderful experience for our children. The Pet Day emphasised the importance of animals in one’s life and ended on a positive note.
