Std 10 Graduation Day – 2022-2023

The Brigade School @ Whitefield held its graduation ceremony for the students of Standard X on the 13th of February, 2023.
The event commenced with the dignitaries lighting the lamp, followed by the school song, “O Nanna Chetana”, by the students of Std 7. The confluence of light and music set the tone for the event

Ms Suresh, the Principal, emphasized the importance of schooling and the values they need to carry forward in their lives. She asked the students to equip themselves with adequate skills and knowledge to face challenges and to go forth and excel in their careers. Her message highlighted the importance of embracing every high and low with equanimity, upholding the honour of their alma mater. Her speech ended with a beautiful poem, “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann.

The inspirational poem reminded the students that they were the harbingers of change and that the responsibility of a better world lies on their shoulders.

Shreya Shashi reminisced on her school days. She looked back with memories of joy, a sense of accomplishment, and a bit of nostalgia for all the years gone by.

The parent of Swayam Tayalia, on behalf of the parents, shared his views with the audience and expressed his happiness about his association with The Brigade School.

A classical dance recital, performed by the students of Std 8., was appreciated by the parents. The dance, a fusion of Odissi, Bharatnatyam and Kathak, was elegant and graceful.

Passing the light of knowledge was a solemn moment. The students lit the lamp and took the oath the Principal, Ms Suresh administered. The students pledged to uphold the values imbibed as a true Brigadier.

Ms Menon, the Head of the Brigade Foundation, presented the awards to the subject toppers. The best outgoing student was Gowtham Krishna K. Ms Shankar, the Founder, awarded Gowtham with the much-coveted trophy. Gowtham delivered his valedictory speech expressing his gratitude towards his school and teachers.
