MUSIC FOR ANY OCCASION

It is believed that music transcends all barriers and has the power to unite. The Songbird Interschool Music Competition for students of Grade 1 to Grade 10 was organized by IME – Indian Music Experience Museum, on 22nd July 2022 at their premises. In this competition, students had to perform songs from the album ‘My Earth Songs’ by the two-time Grammy awardee, Ricky Kej.

My Earth Songs is music for children on environment and sustainability and is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal to create awareness and inspire the younger generation to make a tangible and positive impact in their lives and the lives of people around them.

A six-member team comprising students from 4th and 5th std from The Brigade School at Whitefield was selected to enter the finals based on their video performance of the song ‘Wake Up.’

In the finals, our students gave an electrifying performance, to the song ‘She Can Do, He Can Do’ which won second place in this competition. Our young and talented performers had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Ricky Kej and won accolades for their performance and for their commitment to make their world a better place.
