Grade 4 Social Science Topic: How it all started
Activity: Hand Impression
As part of the lesson ‘How it all started,’ students participated in an engaging and creative hand impression activity using clay/dough. Each student created their own hand impression and explored the importance of human hands in day-to-day life.
It helped them understand the importance of hands as an important tool for early humans. It helped them appreciate how the digits (fingers) help them perform various tasks.
Children showed great enthusiasm and joy while working with the material, shaping and decorating their impressions with care and creativity. The activity was a learning experience with tactile creativity.
