Grade 3- Tangram
In this fun activity, students created and coloured their own tangrams to form specific shapes using all seven pieces without overlapping.
Materials used included an A4 sheet, tangram printouts, sketch pens, ruler, pencil, colour pencils, and scissors. The teacher demonstrated a sample tangram, after which students coloured each piece using different colours, cut them out, and began arranging them into various patterns.
Through this hands-on task, children identified and classified shapes, enhanced fine motor skills, and explored creativity. They successfully formed shapes like animals and objects, working independently and joyfully. The collaborative nature made it a fun and engaging experience for all.
