Grade 3 Composite Science Activity – Topic: Transport
Exploring Land, Water, and Air Transport Through Creative Collages
The activity was designed to help students understand the three modes of transport—land, water, and air—through a fun and hands-on learning experience.
With the teacher’s guidance, students designed vibrant collages using pictures and cardboard, thoughtfully collecting and pasting images of vehicles from newspapers, magazines, and their own drawings under the appropriate transport categories.
Through this engaging task, students learned about the importance of transport in everyday life and how it enables the movement of people, goods, and services from one place to another. They also gained an understanding of the different types of vehicles used in each mode. The activity fostered creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills as students enthusiastically decorated their collages with colourful pictures, labels, and titles, making the learning process interactive, enjoyable, and easy to remember.
