The Intramural Sports Opening at The Brigade School at J P Nagar was inaugurated on 16th June 2023 at the Football Field. Mr. Mathew C Cheria, Administrator, The Brigade Schools, declared the event open and addressed the gathering with a highly motivating speech about the role of sports in life.
Ashwin Hamseneni, a formidable athlete and ace basketball player who has brought laurels for Karnataka and our school, took the oath to inspire every sportsperson to practise fair game and strive hard to win.
Next was a sensational football match between the Hoysala and Vijayanagara teams. It was a tremendous showcase of talent from both ends. A strategic move by the Hoysala captain, Aditya Nayak, was combated with the sheer passion and determination of the Vijayanagara team led by Abhishek Pasupathy. The lead in the score constantly oscillated between the two teams, with each scoring two goals. As the match progressed, both teams threw caution to the wind, Abhishek even moved from his comfort zone of being a goalkeeper to a striker and managing to score the goal. The two teams proved to be evenly matched, with the game ending in a draw. The match ended with the teams leaving the field shaking hands with mutual respect,
Truly, a fitting start to the sporting events for our school.
