On the 16th and 17th of January 2026, The Brigade School, Malleswaram celebrated its Annual Sports Day.
A day where we showcased enthusiasm, discipline, and true sportsmanship among students from Grades 1 to 8. The events were conducted on the school football ground. The Head of Brigade Foundation Ms. Menon, our Administrator, Mr. Mathew C Cheria, members of KNIB, members of The Brigade Foundation, and our principal Mr. G. Joseph graced the event with their presence.
The celebrations started on 16th January, with Grades 1 to 3. The young learners put together a Flexi Fun display, which highlighted their strength, balance, coordination, and confidence. This was followed by track events where students participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanlike spirit.
A visually delightful Mass Drill, performed in perfect synchronisation to rhythmic beats, captivated the audience. The day concluded with the prize distribution, and a lot of cheers and applause, making it a memorable experience.
For Grades 4 to 8, the celebration continued on 17 January 2026. The event began with a notable march past demonstrated by the four school houses, Ganga, Hoysala, Chalukya, and Vijayanagara. This was followed by the salute to the Chief Guest.
The students showcased their athletic abilities by participating in track and field events like the 600m sprint, sprint races, relays, long jump, and shot put. A Yoga Asana display was also demonstrated by the students, to throw light on their flexibility, balance and coordination. This presentation really captivated the audience.
This was followed by prizes being awarded for group sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, and Football conducted earlier.
The rolling trophy for the year was awarded to the Hoysala House. The meet was formally declared closed by the lowering of the school flag and a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.
The celebrations concluded with the National Anthem, which made it a fitting end to the two day celebration of spirited sporting excellence.
