Report of the Authors Meet for Grades 10 and 12
The Brigade school organised ‘The Authors Meet’ for the students of grades 10 and 12, on 17 September 2025, to inspire the young minds by providing them with a valuable opportunity to engage with literature and meet an author who specially wrote for children.
The author, Ms. Roopa Pai, provided the students with a detailed description into her literary journey and discussed the inspiration behind her acclaimed works like ‘The Geeta for Children’, Becoming ‘Bangalore’, and ‘The Yoga Sutra’. The author emphasised the importance of reading as a foundation skill for aspiring writers.
The students participated enthusiastically, asking insightful questions about the writing process and the challenges of becoming an author. The session provided students with valuable opportunities to engage with the writing process. Her books, signed by her, were also open for sale for the students.

The event was not only intellectually enriching but also deeply inspiring. It reminded us that books are not merely for reading but can serve as companions on the journey to becoming better versions of ourselves.

Her passion for writing is evident in the way her eyes sparkle when she speaks about her favourite activity. Being a voracious reader since childhood, Mrs Pai inspired all students and teachers to dive into the world of books, which is a universe almost completely forgotten by most in today’s day and age.
