Teachers shape the children of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. They play an extraordinary role in the lives of children during their formative years.
A special assembly conducted on Teachers’ Day had all the teachers smiling. Being Teachers Day, the students organized the programme without help from their teachers. The comperes for the programme were Amanda V James and Vivian Shaurya Rayan of Std 12B.
The programme began with Sanskrit Shlokas chanted in praise of their gurus. Next was a semi-classical dance expressing gratitude to the teachers.
A medley of Hindi and English songs sung by students of Std 10 and 11 had all the students and teachers humming along.
The songs based on a survey conducted by the children had all the favourite songs of their teachers. The teachers were genuinely surprised and thrilled to hear their all-time favourites.
Students of Std 9 to 12 danced to foot-tapping hits, with everyone cheering for them. The girls adorned the stage with their grace and elegance, and the boys left the audience enthralled with their charm and confidence.
They concluded the programme with words of gratitude and appreciation for their teachers.
