Unleashing the Champion Within
Classes 1 to 8 Sports Day
On January 19, 2024, The Brigade School @ J. P. Nagar hosted its Sports Day. The event commenced with an inspiring speech from the Principal Ms Parthasarathy. Students enthusiastically participated in age-appropriate events such as sprints and obstacle races, emphasising their physical prowess and teamwork. Parents and guardians cheered the children and actively engaged in the celebration of the young athletes’ accomplishments. An interesting game involving parents showcased their strong connection with the school. The winners were honoured with medals and certificates for their achievements.
In the afternoon, Sports Day was hosted for classes 4-8. Enthusiastic children warmly welcomed parents and guests. The Principal, Mrs Parthasarathy delivered the opening address, while Mr Cheria, Administrator of Brigade Foundation, shared insights into the significance of participating in sports activities.
Exciting track events, including the 100-metre race for boys and girls, the 4 x 100-metre relay and the 4 x 100-metre mixed relay, saw the children cheering their teammates to victory. The competition was fierce among the houses – Ganga, Vijayanagara, Hoysala, and Chalukya – as they competed for top honours.
Adding a touch of grace to the event, students from classes 7 and 8 presented a yoga display, showcasing various challenging asanas with skill and ease.
The culmination of Sports Day featured the prize distribution ceremony. The medals awarded to the athletes created unforgettable moments for all the participants.
