Pet Day for LKG – The Brigade School @ J.P. Nagar
The Pet Day for LKG was organised on June 21, 2024, to teach them the importance of animal care and compassion. The main objective of Pet Day was to bring awareness and create a sense of responsibility and kindness in the minds of our children towards other living beings.
The children got to have a close look and interact with pet animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, love birds, cockatiels, African love birds, pigeons, fantail pigeons, fishes, cats, puppies, fancy hens, ducklings, hamsters, a cow with its calf and dogs.
Mr. Karthik conducted a canine interaction session with the children. Children were delighted to see the antics of his two well-trained pawed companions.
Druv Palasamudram, one of our Alumna studying Veterinary Science, sensitised the children about pet care. He inspired them to care about all animals. He took small groups of children on the tour, clearing their doubts and enlightening them with some interesting facts about the animals on display.
Earlier that morning, Druv addressed the gathering at the morning assembly, revealing how the school and his teachers recognised his passion and inspired him to choose a career close to his heart. He also informed the children about his wildlife conservation services and encouraged them to participate in this project. Druv explained how we can give space to our furry and feathered friends in our hearts if we cannot give them space in our homes. There was a discussion on the opportunities available to children or the public to help animals. The students were inspired by his dedication to animals.
Children were excited and thrilled to interact with different animals and birds in their school. It was a delightful and knowledgeable experience for our students.
