From Effort to Excellence – The Felicitation Ceremony for Board Toppers
– The Brigade School @ JP Nagar
“The sun never fails to shine through the clouds at the Brigade School at J P Nagar. Liveliness, mirth, and a sense of pride were at an all-time high as The Brigade School @ JP Nagar organised the felicitation ceremony for the Board toppers and subject centum holders. These students have etched a name for the school and themselves in the annals of Board Exams, producing a record number of centum holders (ten, to be precise) and even a third-rank holder in Bangalore City.
It was truly a special assembly—one that stood out in every way. As an alumnus, I must say the school went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. The stage backdrop, crafted by our talented student artists, was excellent.
Receiving awards from Ms. Githa Shankar, Founder of Brigade Schools, and Ms. Menon was a deeply fulfilling moment. Ms. Shankar, whose vision and leadership have taken the school to remarkable heights, continues to inspire us all.
We thank Ms Githa Shankar and the Brigade Foundation for rewarding us with generous cash prizes. The event concluded with the school toppers revealing their secret to success. It was dedication, hard work, and enjoying themselves when they had to.
Two years in this magnificent institution passed like a blur, but I was fortunate enough to be here, to partake and bask in nearly every moment of joy, glory, or even sadness. It was at TBSM that I realised that I am a writer, fine enough to have my reports published on the Intranet for others to read. It was here that I played a guitar and a bass on three occasions, for the first time in my life.
As I inch further away from school, the very fact that my first steps towards potential greatness were cast and forged in the calm furnaces of TBSM, whose teachers turned us from a crude lump of metal into something to behold, with pure patience and tender firmness. “
