Plant Patterns Unplugged – Nature’s Hidden Designs!

Grade 11 students dived into the captivating world of botany, discovering how plants wear their beauty in patterns. With keen observation and artistic flair, they identified and illustrated the many styles of leaf arrangements (phyllotaxy) and flower formations (inflorescence) around them.

From spirals of alternate leaves to the elegance of whorled ones, and from racemose cascades to cymose clusters, every plant revealed a unique signature of nature’s design. This hands-on journey helped students appreciate both the science and the splendour of plant morphology.

Who knew learning about plant classification could look this stunning?
