Grade 3 COMPOSITE SCIENCE – CLOTHING
Weaving Wonders!
Students of Grade 3 discovered the magic of weaving — the art of turning threads into patterns! Using colourful satin ribbons and their own weaving frames, they learned the classic over-under technique under the teacher’s guidance. Soon, ribbons of every hue crisscrossed beautifully, transforming simple strands into stunning designs.
The classroom buzzed with excitement as children carefully chose their colours and celebrated their finished creations with pride. What began as a lesson in weaving became an experience in patience, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
By the end of the session, the young weavers had not only crafted bright, textured patterns but also understood how fabric takes shape from fibre — all while having a colourful, joy-filled time!
