Grade 3 English- The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
The students of grade 3 participated in an exciting activity as a part of their learning extension for the lesson The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, an extract from the classic ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Children got dressed as different characters from the lesson Alice in Wonderland. The characters they dressed up as were Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse. The children had thoroughly researched their characters, making their presentations relevant. Students, divided into groups of four, enacted their roles with enthusiasm.
This activity helped students develop their communication, language, and social skills as they collaborated with other students. The activity was a success in terms of engagement and learning. The children had brought juice, cakes, and other titbits for the class tea party. After they enacted the play, they enjoyed their snacks.
