Topic – Roman numerals activity
OBJECTIVE: To be able to read and write Roman numerals and also to apply the knowledge of Roman numerals in real life situations such as reading dates on buildings or on monuments.
MATERIALS USED: Chart papers, glue stick, paper strips and pencil/sketch pens
METHOD: Teacher instructed the students step – by- step process of creating the Roman numeral chart. Students were divided into groups and they followed the instructions given by the teacher and completed the chart.
LEARNING OUTCOME: Students were able to understand the basis of the Roman numeral system, including the symbols and their values and how they are used to represent different numbers. Students were able to apply their knowledge of roman numerals to real life situations such as reading dates on buildings or on monuments. Etc.
CONCLUSION: The Roman numeral chart making activity was a fun and engaging way for students to learn about the Roman numeral system. Through this activity, students developed their understanding of Roman numerals and applied their knowledge to create a visual chart.
