Cooking Up Science in Grade 5!
Our Grade 5 students turned their classroom into a buzzing kitchen lab, stepping into the role of young chefs to explore the science of physical changes through an exciting, hands-on activity!
With tables full of colourful, tasty ingredients— sprouts, crunchy onions, sweet dry fruits, and more—they whipped up delicious edible mixtures. As they mixed, stirred, and tasted, they discovered a key scientific concept: no new substance was formed. Everything could still be separated, and the ingredients remained the same—a perfect example of a physical change!
It was a flavorful day of learning where science met snacks, and curiosity stirred up discovery!
