Grade 6 Science – Physics Activity Done in Class
The students of class 6 performed experiments using materials from the Xperimentor (mobile lab) to understand the rectilinear propagation of Light and the Formation of a shadow.
The activity’s objective was to help children understand the rectilinear propagation of light, differentiate objects based on the amount of light allowed to pass through them and categorise them as transparent, translucent, and opaque. and understand how and why shadows are formed.
Students understood the properties of light through hands-on experience. Learning through working models made them actively participate and interact and allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. They had fun learning the concepts, which paved the way for creative thinking.
