Topic: कहानीदिल्लीकी (Kahani Delhi Ki)


The primary objective of this activity was to encourage students to explore and present information about Delhi in a visually appealing and informative manner. The brochures were educational tools that could be shared with others, promoting knowledge about the city’s diverse attractions.

Students were divided into groups and assigned themes related to Delhi, such as historical monuments, cultural heritage, modern landmarks, cuisine, and festivals. Each group researched their topics and collected data on their assigned theme, focusing on accuracy and relevance. Students drafted concise and informative text for their brochures.

Students were introduced to basic design principles, including layout, colour schemes, and typography. They used software tools or hand-drawn techniques to create visually appealing brochures. Photographs, illustrations, and maps of Delhi were used to make the brochures more attractive and informative.

Each group presented their brochure to the class, explaining the rationale behind their design choices and the information included. Peer feedback was encouraged, and teachers provided constructive criticism to help students refine their work. They have learnt and understood the facts of Delhi, our nation’s capital. The children made brochures, enhancing their vocabulary and creative skills. They also learnt to browse and search for information using technology. They were encouraged to use engaging language and to ensure clarity, coherence, and correctness.

The brochure-making activity was a success, with students producing a variety of creative and informative brochures about Delhi. The project helped students develop research, writing, and design skills. It also fostered teamwork and a deeper appreciation for Delhi’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
