Kite Flying Event – Kannada Class

The kite flying activity organised by The Brigade Schools took place in January during the Sankranti Festival. The custom of flying kites on Sankranti is said to have originated from ancient ideas that people should be exposed to sunlight.

Flying kites allow the students to run around and participate in an exhilarating activity. Beyond its sheer enjoyment, kite flying holds educational value. It fosters the development of hand-eye coordination, kinesthetic awareness, and gross motor skills. Moreover, students learn the importance of sharing and forge new friendships. They enhance their physical health, creativity, confidence, and coordination alongside peers.
