LKG September Musings

September was a busy month for us and we were engaged in numerous activities. In our phonics class, we practised our blending by identifying the sounds and putting them together. We then went globe-trotting to Africa to learn about their flora, fauna, lifestyle and culture! This happened in our Composite Science class, and we thoroughly enjoyed the session. In our Maths Montessori class, we worked with Colour Tablets to identify and discriminate different shades of colours. We also worked on the Decimal System Bead Material to learn the names of different hierarchies in the decimal system.

We enjoyed a fun activity in Maths by identifying and colouring different shapes. In our organised games period, we thoroughly loved playing the game ‘Red Light Green Light.’ This game helped us in following directions and pay attention to the instructions. In our APA class, we learnt the basic 5 elements of art which makes us appreciate art.
