Report on World Environment Day Celebrations 2024-25
A Special Assembly for World Environment Day was conducted on June 7, 2024.
The students of Std 4 and 5 presented a short and delightful programme to create awareness about the theme for the year, “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience.” The World Environment Day addresses the increasing environmental challenges.
There is a growing urgency to sensitise people about taking action and making a positive difference toward creating a sustainable future. Students highlighted this message with their performance of the melodious and meaningful song – “One World, One Chance.”
The dangers of deforestation, urbanisation, and human greed, along with their environmental impacts, were brought to life on stage through compelling narrations and a visually stunning dance performance that was both captivating and thought-provoking.
After the special assembly, children could introspect and act on their roles and responsibilities towards conserving the environment.
