This is our last month in the pre-primary segment- we are sad to leave our teachers but excited to move to grade 1 and begin enjoying a full day at school! In our phonics class, we learned that verbs are doing/action words and without them, we cannot make sentences. We did numerous activities to help us understand this concept. In our Montessori class, we worked on the Division Board to help us understand the concept of division, learned the terms, and recorded the values. While in Maths class, we learned the concept of subtraction, its sign, and the different ways to solve subtraction problems. The most exciting class this month was our Composite Science class- we learned about the volcano, and its parts and thoroughly enjoyed doing the volcano activity. It was amazing to see a volcanic eruption! We made an interesting holiday takeaway in our APA class- a pencil stand using a paper cup. Finally, in our puppet show, we enjoyed watching “Jack and the Beanstalk with a twist!’ We learned that we should not be greedy and should learn to be happy with what we have. Summer holidays are here and when we get back, we are going to grade 1, to learn new things and to make new friends – Happy Summer Holidays!
