MSA Day Symposium 2025 – (Grades 9-12)
The Power of Storytelling
Mind Space is the space one’s mind holds for intellect, skills, tasks, emotions and feelings, knowledge, and memory. The Brigade Schools have a strong conviction in effective learning, manifested in the form of activities—an intellectual and skillful showcase of learning and activities.
The Mind Space Activity for the students of Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 was a symposium on ‘The Power of Storytelling’ “A story has no beginning or end: arbitrarily one chooses that moment of experience from which to look back or from which to look ahead.”
― Graham Greene, novelist and author
The symposium was an effective platform to showcase clear content, efficient communication, strong conviction, innate confidence, and invigorating courage to discuss and debate the topic of the Power of Storytelling.
An inspiring video on a well-articulated story of Mahatma Gandhi by Mrs. G. Iyengar, Consultant, The Brigade Foundation, was a forerunner to the Symposium.
Students gave various presentations with panache on: India as a Land of Stories-The Living Power of Myth, History and Culture, Myth and Meaning: The Enduring Relevance of our Epics, Tales from the Margins: Storytelling in Tribal and Rural India, From Scroll to Screen: Evolution of Indian Storytelling in the Digital Age.
The Group Discussion on ‘Fake stories on social media and its societal impact’ riveted the students of the group and captivated the audience too.
The group discussion was followed by the much-awaited debate on: ‘The rise of fake stories on social media poses a greater threat to society than censorship.’ Students expressed themselves vehemently for or against the statement.
