Nursery September Musings
We enjoyed the activities we did in September. In our value education class, we learnt the importance of keeping our nails clean and learnt how to clean them. While in our Phonics class, we did an interesting finger-painting activity to reinforce the sound of ‘r.’ Yet another activity that was fun was the formation of the letter sound ‘e.’ To improve our eye-hand coordination and our independence skills, we learnt to pour grains carefully, in our Montessori class. As a reinforcement activity, in our maths class, we traced the dotted lines of a square and coloured the same. Our Composite Science class was fun as always. We worked on the puzzle map to understand the 2-dimensional aspect of the globe.
During our organised game period, we worked on our physical fitness and motor skills by participating in a game that involved picking cones and running to the finish line. It was fun to watch who could run fast! Finally, in our Arts and Crafts period, we worked with recycled paper to take prints of leaves. This also helped us with our fine motor skills. We had fun this month!
