Std 1 Activity- Germination
Subject: Composite Science – Topic Green Plants-Germination
During the lesson on green plants, an activity was organised to deepen students’ comprehension of fruits and seeds. Each student was requested to bring a small pot, soil, a tomato, a spoon, gloves, and newspapers.
The children were given clear instructions on how to sow the seeds in the pots and the importance of regular watering. The pots were paced in sunny areas and were watered daily.
One week later, when the seeds sprouted, the children were happy to witness the germination. The students were allowed to take the pots home, with instructions to nurture them.
