Grade -LKG – Pet Day 2025-26
The vibrant and heartwarming Pet Day for our LKG students was celebrated on Friday, 27 June 2025, with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to instill compassion, responsibility and empathy towards animals in young minds.
A delightful array of pets was displayed, including African love birds, roosters, cockatiels, fantail pigeons, love birds, pigeons, fancy hens, guinea pigs, cats, rabbits, fish, Java sparrows, ducklings, and hamsters. The sight of these gentle creatures brought joy and wonder to the little ones.
Adding a magical touch to the day, Druv Palasamudram, one of our alumni, showcased a mesmerising bird show featuring exotic birds. The fluttering wings and vivid plumage captivated the children, leaving them in awe. He brought along two parakeets, a macaw, a parrot, and an African grey parrot. The children were thrilled to interact with the birds—feeding them and letting them perch on their shoulders and hands—a moment of pure delight! Being a student of veterinary medicine, his main objective was to enrich the children’s experience by sensitising them to the importance of pet care.
The celebration also included engaging hands-on activities that sparked creativity and joy among the children. LKG A students added ‘googly eyes’ to a fish cutout, LKG B students decorated a puppy cutout with bows and googly eyes, while LKG C students brought their bird cutouts to life by fixing googly eyes.
These creative crafts served as meaningful takeaways from the event, helping to imprint lasting memories. It was a day filled with smiles, learning, and laughter for the students.
