Pre-graduation – The Brigade School of JP Nagar

The Pre-Graduation Ceremony at The Brigade School of JP Nagar, on 9th February 2024 celebrated achievements, camaraderie among friends, and pride in the Alma Mater. The cherished memories of school days lit the hearts of the outgoing batch of 2023-2024, Class XII, as they prepared to embark on a new chapter.

With palpable excitement, the elegantly dressed students gathered for the Guard of Honour, welcoming the parents and distinguished guests. Ms. Sen, the coordinator, gave the welcome address, followed by an inspiring speech from the Principal, Mrs. Parthasarathy, encouraging graduates to pursue their dreams.

The evening began with the symbolic lighting of the lamp by the Principal of the school, Ms. Parthasarathy, Mr. Shivayogi Kalasad (CEO of Brigade Foundation), Ms Menon (Head of Brigade Foundation), Ms. Karthik (Deputy Head of Brigade Foundation), and other esteemed dignitaries. The rendition of the school song, ‘O Nanna Chetana Aagu Nee Aniketana’, added significance to the occasion. Yash Sultania, a student of Std XII, shared his reflections, followed by heartfelt gratitude expressed by Mr. G P Suni Kumar, parent of Sanika Gode.

Subject toppers were honoured with medals and certificates by Ms. Menon and Ms. Parthasarathy. Shiva Prakash was awarded the Navaneethan Award and delivered a poignant farewell speech. This award, instituted in 2013 in memory of former student Navaneethan S V, recognizes students who excel in academics, co-curricular activities, and interschool competitions while upholding the school’s values. As the candles of knowledge were lit the class teachers introduced their students as they made their way to the stage, each holding a candle. These candles, sourced from Taamala, a social impact initiative supporting rural and tribal artisans, added a poignant and meaningful element to the ceremony.

The graceful Kathak dance was a fitting finale to the evening’s festivities. Ms Chander delivered the Vote of Thanks, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
