The event commenced with an introduction by the students of Class 5 on the significance of celebrating World Environment Day, the importance of protecting the environment and the theme for this year – Beat Plastic Pollution.
The students of Standards 4 and 5 sang two songs, “We Need to Wake Up” and “Hum Bhi Jiyenge”, on protecting the environment. The songs were a message to save our earth and the need to coexist with nature in harmony.
The students of Class 9 performed a dance on the elements of nature – fire, water, earth and air.
In conclusion, the students reiterated the need for every individual to make a conscious effort to reduce plastic pollution.
