A grandparent strengthens you with a prayer, blesses you with love, and encourages you with hope. Grandparents are a perfect blend of love, laughter, and happy memories.

The Brigade School, Malleswaram celebrated Grandparents’ Day on July 29, amidst cheerful songs, dances, and a fashion show for the 250 grandparents of the students of UKG. The comperes for the programme were UKG students. 

The celebrations resonated with the theme for the academic year — Spain. Grandparents enjoyed the song, ‘Grandma, Grandpa.’  They snapped their fingers and tapped their feet to the action song, ‘Happy Happy Grandparents’ Day.’ The students taught their grandparents steps to the action song and dance. The eager grandparents swayed to the music, showing off the dance steps that their little loved ones had taught them. Teachers and students walked the ramp displaying props such as castanets, carnation flowers, the Spanish hat, and the Spanish fan.

The fashion show by grandparents was a show stopper wherein every enthusiastic grandparent walked the ramp. The selfie photo booth and the display board, with views expressed by the students of UKG on their love for their grandparents, were added attractions to the programme.

The grandparents and their grandchildren enjoyed the day and created many happy memories together!
