Our Curriculum

Our holistic approach to learning involves a multi-dimensional curriculum. We follow the Central Board of Secondary Education syllabus (CBSE) which covers a broad set of topics and themes.

Teaching/Learning

The Brigade School @ Malleswaram has classes from Nursery to Standard 12. Our pre-primary follows the Jump Start curriculum which is a perfect blend of the Montessori Method and the traditional system of learning. This provides a carefully planned invigorating environment that helps children develop habits, attitudes and skills that are essential for a lifetime of thinking and learning.

Primary

In keeping with our philosophy of developing a ‘complete child’, emphasis is placed on imbibing attributes like respect, tolerance, integrity, and personal accountability. The emphasis is on introducing children to the excitement and challenges of independent learning. The focus is on both academic content and the development of essential skills like critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and the ability to speak and write effectively. Counselling is conducted regularly, depending on individual needs. Yoga is introduced to enhance physical and mental agility.

Secondary & Senior Secondary

As students move into the final years of school they are guided and motivated to prepare them for the outside world. Learning techniques become more comprehensive. Assignments demand more involvement and independent thinking.

Even though they have a full schedule, each student participates in at least two co-curricular activities: one physical activity and one from the Fine Arts/Performing Arts club category.

The emphasis is on learning to be masters of their destiny- developing deeper perspectives, expanding their thinking and gaining self-confidence.
