The Brigade School @ Malleswaram – Independence Day 2024-25
Independence Day commemorates the end of a long and arduous struggle for freedom. This memorable day is of immense significance to every Indian. It is a day to pay tribute to our freedom fighters. It represents the freedom of the Indian people to determine their destiny and shape the future of our Nation.
Mrs. Menon- Head Brigade Foundation, hoisted the national flag.
Keeping in line with the tradition of Independence Day, the students of The Brigade School @ Malleswaram delivered a speech on the significance of this day.
Students began the cultural event with a patriotic song medley, Vande Mataram and Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo, accompanied by live music. The songs manifested our gratitude while emphasising our unity and love for Mother India.
A poem entitled, ‘The Indian Patriot’, composed by Mrs. Harikrishna, the Vice Principal, was recited by Chinmay of Std 9. The poem is a reminiscence of struggles, resilience, and exemplary courage to oust invaders from the West.
Students danced to an energetic dance number to the tunes of Saugandh mujhe iss mitti ki and Teri mitti.
The school teachers sang a Kannada song, ‘Bande Bantu, Bande Bantu Swantrotsava, written by Mr Ramesh B.N. – Coordinator and composed by the music teachers of The Brigade School. The song is a joyous celebration of Indian independence.
The celebration served as a reminder of our Nation’s history and patriotism.
