The Eternal Bond of Love on Grandparents’ Day at The Brigade School, Malleswaram
With silver in their hair and gold in their hearts, grandparents weave an enduring tapestry of memories that our hearts hold onto forever. Recognising the profound significance of grandparents in a child’s life, the Brigade School, Malleswaram, came together to celebrate Grandparents’ Day with an abundance of warmth, delight, and energy.
This year’s Grandparents’ Day celebration was beautifully aligned with the theme of Rajasthan for the academic year 2023-24. In a delightful showcase, the students sang a spirited Hindi song, ‘Dada Dadi’. The school reverberated with the echoes of ‘Ban Than Chali’ as both students and grandparents danced in unison, a heartwarming display of generational unity. A soulful rendition of the Kannada song, ‘AjjaAjji’, resonated with a sense of belonging.
Adding vibrancy to the occasion was a captivating ramp walk. The ramp witnessed a collaboration between students, teachers, and grandparents, all bedecked in resplendent Rajasthani attires. With Rajasthani turbans, ornate Kamar bandhs, and vibrant dupattas, the participants exuded the spirit of Rajasthan. The Rajasthani dhol set the rhythm for an energetic procession down the ramp to the foot-tapping beats of ‘MhaareKhivada Me NaacheDhol, TaathaThaiya’.
The grandparents of the UKG students at The Brigade School, Malleswaram, shared their heartwarming thoughts, expressing that this was a day well spent.
