THE BRIGADE SCHOOL @ Malleswaram
The students at The Brigade School @ Malleswaram put forth a special assembly on Kannada Rajyotsava on November 10, 2023. The students presented a variety of programmes highlighting the literature, language, and cultural aspects of the state of Karnataka.
The first programme of the day was a speech on the importance of the Kannada language and about its rich culture. Following this, the students of grades 1 to 3 performed a melodious patriotic song, ‘Nanna Desha Nanna Jana.’ The excitement picked up when the students put a unique fashion show representing the clothing, culture, and food from different parts of Karnataka. Our young, budding artists from UKG put together a lively action song, ‘Abhivyakti Geethe’, evoking huge appreciation from the audience.
The next programme, the song ‘Thipparahalli Balu Doora‘ by T. P. Kailasam was performed with action by the students of grades. 1 to 3 and created a buzz amongst the audience! The young artists beautifully captured the essence of the song and very eloquently brought out the humour portrayed through this song.
Last but not the least, students performed an energetic dance to a medley of folk and famous Kannada songs. It was a very well put together programme that was informative and entertaining. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks, followed by the Naada Geethe, ‘Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujaate,’ and the National Anthem.
