The Brigade School @ Malleswaram celebrated the cultural day for students of the Pre-primary section on December 9, 2023. The theme for the year was Rajasthan, and the celebrations showcased the rich cultural heritage of this state.
The formal part of the programme began with the Welcome Speech, Lighting of the lamp, presenting the Annual Report, and a Vote of Thanks.
The cultural extravaganza commenced with the introduction to Rajasthan with an astounding ramp walk by the students of Nursery to the lilting tunes of “Mharo Rajasthan.” Glimpses of the glorious land of the incredible state of India- the land of kings, forts, and palaces, were manifested picturesquely and visually through the twists and turns of the little ones. They also showcased their dancing skills on the song “Banni Tharo” and enthralled the audience.
The LKG students swayed to the action songs’ foot-tapping numbers: “Aao Ji Padharo Mhare Desh” and “Toote Bazubandh.” The invigorating beats of the musical numbers “Chaudhary” and “Satrangi Rajasthan” captivated the audience.
The short skit “Bahadur Vijay Singh” by the students of UKG sent a strong message to the audience on the importance of listening to elders and the need to help others. The students of UKG presented colourful and sprightly dances, “Mor Bani” and “Ghoomar.”
The grand finale was the spirited dance by the students of LKG and UKG to the lively song, “Shubh Din Aayo Re,” highlighting the cultural extravaganza of Rajasthan.
The cultural day’s plethora of events were indeed a music, dance, and drama festival, making the day memorable.
