Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the creator of the Isha Foundation is the initiator of the ‘Save Soil’ movement.

‘Save Soil’ is a global movement to initiate a conscious approach to the soil and the planet. It seeks to show the world that its citizens want a policy to revitalize soil and ecology. Soil extinction is a global problem and is recognized as a threat.

Soil is the biggest ecosystem on the planet. It is home to a plethora of life forms but is often neglected. Soil extinction may be invisible to the human eye, but it compromises the quality of the food we eat and the water we drink. It puts human and environmental health at risk.

In this regard, the Isha Foundation conducted a 40-minute presentation on the Save Soil movement for the students of The Brigade School @ Malleswaram, Grades 5 to 10, on June 1, 2022. Volunteers from the Isha Foundation talked about the movement initiated by Sadhguru.

The students could draw their concerns or write a petition to the Honourable Prime Minister on the current soil crisis. It was an interactive session. The students wholeheartedly participated in the oral quiz conducted by the volunteers of the organization.
