The Brigade School @ Malleswaram -Independence Day 2025-26
Independence Day, celebrated on August 15th, holds profound significance for India as it marks the liberation of the nation from British colonial rule in 1947. It is a day of national pride, remembrance, and reflection on the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The day also emphasizes the importance of unity, democracy, and the ongoing journey of nation-building. On this solemn occasion, Mrs. Menon, Head of the Brigade Foundation, hoisted the national flag.
The celebration began with the honouring of students of the SSC examination batch 2024-25. Mrs. Menon honoured Raaj Chopra, the school topper. The centum scorers in Science: Jitha Basavaraj, Ishitha Mahesh, and Pranav Chauhan were honoured too. Keeping in line with the tradition of the national festivity of Independence Day, the students of The Brigade School @ Malleswaram delivered a speech on the significance of this day.
Students began the cultural pageantry with the patriotic song medley, accompanied by live music. The senior band presented a vibrant ensemble of patriotic songs. This medley blended cultural depth with poetic symbolism, carrying the patriotic fervour through a message of passion, unity, and transformation.
Music, manifested in rhythmic movements of mesmerising dance depicting “Kala Pani”— a tribute to the unsung heroes of our Indian Independence, was presented with an exuberance of emotions and energy.
Teachers sang a Hindi song, ‘Desh Prem Geet’, written by Mr. Ramesh Kashyap, Coordinator, with music composed by the music teachers of The Brigade School. The song is a celebration of the uniqueness of our motherland in richness and values.
The programme was a lively celebration of Independence Day, enjoyed by members of The Brigade Foundation, invited parents, students, and school staff.
